Color of Law Roundtable
“You need to get into the habit of pitching yourself and
be able to explain who you are in two sentences. You
also need to learn how to carry yourself. I graduated
from law school in 2009, when the job market was very
challenging. One of the most helpful pieces of advice I
can give is to plug into your natural network. Connect
with anyone who you may know whenever you are
home through family or organizations. My dad knew
someone at Temple who said, ‘I know someone who
you should meet,’ and that led to my first job. You
should also have a super clean version of your résumé
at all times so someone can easily forward it.”
